Indian economy facing one by one big scams, before a long time which is a burden of Indian economy and the people of India, because the money which was using in this road project it was the public finance.

What is background of this scam:- The Rs 300-crore scam pertains to alleged irregularities in land acquisition process between 2011 and 2016 for the widening of the 300 km stretch of Haridwar- Bareilly national highway (NH74). it has been alleged that agriculture land was shown as non- agriculture land to increase the compensation by up to 20 times for some persons. maximum irregularities were reported from place like Jaspur, Kashipur, Kichha and Sitarganj in US Nagar district. Current situation:- This week, the state government had suspended two senior IAS officers, Chandresh Yadav and Pankaj Pandey, who had served as district magistrates (DM) in US Nagar, the district is the epicentre of the scam.Both the officers had served as DMs of US Nagar between 2014 and 2016.

what would be next:- The special investigation team probing the alleged irregularities into the NH74 scam in US Nagar district has handed over its report to chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh.

Highlight of Uttrakhand CM:- CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the scam was “being probed impartially” and none of the accused would walk free. A senior IAS official would be appointed to initiate the proceeding against the two suspended officials and then submit a report along with recommendations (TOI).
